The family of Glenn E. Smith, Jr., 57 of Newark will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. Glenn passed away Friday morning at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born March 25, 1951 in Columbus to the late Glenn E. Smith, Sr. and Mary Ann (Morrison) Smith of Grove City. In addition to his mother, Glenn is survived by his wife, Clara (Gotherman) Smith; a daughter, Jenifer Smith and her boy friend, Chad Thompson of Newark; a son, David Smith of Newark; a grandson, Anthony Thompson of Newark; a brother, Jack Smith of Grove City; and a sister, Suzie (Jim) Geddes of Harrisburg.
