Obituary

Gerald F. ?Bolivar? Wolford, 58, of Dresden, died at 6:45AM Wednesday September 25, 2002 in Genesis Bethesda Hospital, following a one week illness. Mr. Wolford was born February 15, 1944 in Dresden, a son of the late Charles and Zona (Preston) Wolford. He had worked for 29 years at Stone Container in Coshocton and was a member of Tri-Valley Open Bible Church. An avid sports fan, he had assisted the athletic department at Tri-Valley Schools and enjoyed attending races at the Muskingum Co. Speedway. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte (Lutz) Wolford, whom he married March 4, 1967; children, Lee (Missy) Wolford of Zanesville, Shelly (Jay) McQuistion of Dresden, Jenny Adams of Dresden, Mindy (Jerry) Chappelear of Zanesville; eight grandchildren, Trisha, Jay, Andrew, Jenna, Nathan, Aaron, Brianna, Jordan; sisters, Jean (Bob) Wagner, Donna (Ronny) Mercer, Sondra (Skip) Noland of Dresden, Becky (Bobby) Brown of Conesville; a brother Ralph (Judy) Wolford of Zanesville; four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews and his special pets, Roscoe and Daisey. His brothers, Kenneth, Charles, Lee, Robert Dale Wolford, and a sister, Thelma Wagner, preceded him in death. Friends may call 2-4PM and 6-9PM Thursday September 26, 2002 at the Vensil&Orr Funeral Home in Dresden. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM Friday at Tri-Valley Open Bible Church with Pastors Mike and Melody Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Critical Care Dept., c/o Genesis HealthCare Foundation; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
