FRAZEYSBURG ? Funeral services for Gerald W. ?Jerry? Hewitt, 64, of Frazeysburg, Ohio will be at 11:00am Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Hewitt died Thursday afternoon, July 14, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Born September 10, 1940 in Nashport, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Esther M. (Bohr) Hewitt and was a retired truck driver with Newark Asphalt Company. He was a member of both the Newark Eagles and the Heath Eagles. Surviving is his wife Sandra L. (Roberts) Hewitt whom he married March 18, 1959; one son Rod Hewitt of Frazeysburg; one daughter, Lisa Hewitt of Frazeysburg; two brothers, Robert Hewitt and Ronnie (Judith) Hewitt, both of Newark; two sisters, Shelba (Marvin) Anderson of St. Louisville, Ohio and Vickie (James) Shepler of Frazeysburg; three grandchildren, Jody Hewitt, Jeffrey Shaw and Danielle Shaw; one great grandson, Dakota Nash; his mother in-law, Mabel Roberts of Newark; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Hewitt; three brothers, Ralph Hewitt, Michael Hewitt and Ricky Hewitt; and two sisters, Dixie Hupp and Judy Miller.
