Gerald Norman Fostor, 90, formerly of Dresden, Ohio died Thursday morning, December 11, 2014 at Lafayette Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Lafayette, Ohio.
Born August 11, 1924 in Adams township of Muskingum County he was a son of the late Walter D. and Carrie (Hogue) Fostor and was an Army veteran having served in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Fostor was a farmer and retired from Muskingum County Landmark. He was a member of the Adamsville United Methodist Church; the Muskingum County Farm Bureau and the American Legion of Dresden. He was also a former Adams township trustee.
Surviving is one daughter, Cynthia (Scott) Limburg of Coshocton, Ohio; one son, Chris (Kathy Kirkbride) Fostor of Zanesville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Rebekah Limburg of Chenddu, China and Matthew Limburg of Honolulu, Hawaii.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy I. (Johnson) Fostor whom he married April 14, 1956 and who died February 28, 2009; a brother, Harold Fostor and a sister, Arlene Vansickle.
Calling hours will be 2pm to 5pm Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church, 8065 East Street, Adamsville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
