A private memorial service for Georgie E. Nye, 79, of Hebron, will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Old Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Va. Mrs. Nye died Thursday morning at Newark Health Care Centre. She was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Petersburg, Va., to the late Jesse G. and Mamie E. (Baker) Hartle. She had worked as a secretary for Saga Food Service at Denison University. Mrs. Nye is survived by her loving husband, Rex E. Nye Sr. of Hebron; and one son, Rex E. Nye Jr., and his wife, Elizabeth, of Newark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 1984 Coffman Road, Suite A, Newark, Ohio 43055. The Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
