George F. Lake, 73, of Trinway died at 6:44 PM Wednesday April 5, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. Mr. Lake was born June 9, 1932 in Trinway a son of the late French and Emma (Casner) Lake. For thirty years he operated Lake Trucking and then owned Lake Motors and Marine for ten years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Coshocton. Surviving are his wife, Gloria (Lucas) Lake, whom he married July 4, 1950; two sons, Richard (Cindy) Lake of Frazeysburg and Randall (Lori) Lake of Frazeysburg; seven grandchildren, Shawn Lake, Adam (Christy) Lake, Brandi Lake, Melissa (Josh) Meiser, Lindsey Lake, Aaron (Bobbi) Davis and Amye (Trophy) Iler; seven great grandchildren, Alexis, Sara and Haley Lake, Hunter Meiser, Kalib, Emily and Joshua Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Chester Lake. Friends may call 6 to 9 PM Friday April 7, 2006 and one hour prior to services which will be Saturday April 8, 2006 at 2:30PM at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden. Burial will follow in the Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinway United Methodist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
