George Frederick "Fred" Moran, 77, of Frazeysburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2022, following a brief illness.

Born February 5, 1945, in Newark, he was a son of Cecil Maynard Moran and the late Dorothy Ann (Lincicome) Moran.  He retired from Owens Corning in 2001 after working for 38 years, he enjoyed playing euchre and basketball. Fred was a passionate sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He always enjoyed offering a helping hand as many home improvement and woodworking projects have been completed with his help over the years for family and friends

He is survived by two sisters, Patricia Ann Johnson of Jacksonville, FL and Sandra Sue Billings of Thornville, OH; a son, James "Tony" (Diane) Moran of Frazeysburg and a granddaughter, Zoe Mikayla Moran of Frazeysburg.

No calling hours will be observed. The Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home will be providing a caring cremation.
