Genevieve "Ginny" F. Moran, 89, died early Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023 at Middleton Senior Living in Granville, Ohio.

Born August 2, 1933 in Muskingum County, she was a daughter of the late Walter E. & Clara M. (McKee) Acord and a 1951 graduate of Union High School.  Ginny retired from J.C. Penney and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newark.  She was a long-time member of the Alpha Phi Sigma sorority and the American Business Woman Association.  Ginny, and her late husband Gail, loved to travel and had visited all 50 states, Canada, and other countries they stopped in while on 11 cruises. Ginny enjoyed baking and gardening but what she loved the most was spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Donald Moran and Douglas (Nancy) Moran both of Newark, Ohio; two grandchildren, Denise (Noah) Schottenstein and Joseph Moran; five great grandchildren, Clara, Callum, Camilla, Cole, and Caleb Schottenstein; three sisters, Thelma (Forrest) Smythe, Nancy (Arlan) Zimmerman, and Alma (Ralph) Wright all of Newark, Ohio; two brothers, Emerson (Phyllis) Acord and Wayne (Martha) Acord both of Newark, Ohio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents Ginny was preceded in death by the love of her life, Leland Gail Moran whom she married January 1, 1953 and who died October 13, 2020; son, David Moran; sister Gyneth Bice and three brothers, Kenneth Acord, Allen Acord, and Ronald Acord.

Friends and family may call from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Monday, June 5, 2023 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Ginny will be 11:00am Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the funeral home with Reverend Barb Salyers officiating. Burial will follow at Frazeysburg Cemetery.
