FRAZEYSBURG â?? Gene E. Minnick, 84, of Nashport, Ohio died Monday afternoon, October 4, 2010 at Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born August 23, 1926 in Pleasant Valley, Muskingum County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ralph J. and Mary E. (Cornell) Minnick and was a graduate of Nashport High School. Mr. Minnick was a retired employee of Rockwell International of Heath, Ohio and was a member of the Nashport-Irville United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran having served during World War II and was a member of Hopewell American Legion Post #756.
Surviving is a brother, Gerald C. Minnick of Nashport and a sister, Evelyn Douglas of Sturgis, South Dakota and many friends and neighbors.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nashport-Irville United Methodist Church, 7149 Oâ??Bannon Road, Nashport, Ohio 43830.
