Gaylord W. Caldwell, 93, of Adamsville, died Sunday October 7, 2007 at his home. Mr. Caldwell was born November 21, 1913 near Adamsville, a son of the late Torrence G. and Ethel Elnora (Bradford) Caldwell. He was a life long farmer. Mr. Caldwell was a charter member of the Adamsville Community Volunteer Fire Department, a life-member of the Grange in Adamsville, and a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church. Surviving are nephews, Don Caldwell of Zanesville, Larry Caldwell of Mt. Sterling; a great nephew, Don Caldwell, Jr. of Adamsville; close friends and neighbor Carl and Rosan Echelberry of Adamsville. He was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters, Robert and Raymond Caldwell, Glenda McKee, Dorothy Black and Lutherla Caldwell. Friends may call 6-8PM Tuesday October 9, 2007 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Adamsville, where services will be held at 1PM Wednesday with Pastor Jay Jackson officiating.
