Gary Wayne Penrod, 64, of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, died Monday morning, August 4, 2014 at his home of a sudden illness. Prior to moving to Wisconsin in 2011 he was a resident of the Frazeysburg area for 20 years.
Born March 18, 1950 in Sidney, Ohio he was a son of the late Evan C. and Janet E. (Bollenbacher) Penrod. Mr. Penrod was a Viet Nam veteran serving seven years of active duty in the U. S. Army and four years in the Reserves. He was a retired injection mold maker and was owner of True Position Tool & Die Company of Newark, Ohio. He was a member of the American Legion; National Hot Rod Association and he enjoyed traveling.
Surviving is his wife, Mabeth (Wells) Penrod whom he married September 30, 1972; a son, Justin Penrod of Frazeysburg; a daughter Melissa (Ben) Rader of Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Olive Boone Rader and Solomon Joseph Rader and two sisters, Bonni Descamp and Becky Sexton. Also surviving is a special aunt, Jean Shape and several other aunts, uncles and cousins
Calling hours will be 2 to 5pm Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Memorial services will be at 5pm Saturday at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.
