Gary Lee Hindel, 62, of Coshocton, Ohio died Friday morning, August 16, 2013 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Born October 13, 1950 in Norwalk, Ohio he was a son of the late Gerald L. and Ida Mae (Jackson) Hindel and was a 1970 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Mr. Hindel retired in 2012 from Ennis Printing of Coshocton where he was a pressman with 8 years of service. Previously he had work at Shaw-Barton-JII Calendar Finishing for 30 years. He was a hard worker and missed only a few days of work his entire life. Gary played keyboard in a local band in his younger years and he was an artist. He loved to draw and paint. He designed and built his own home with his own sawmill. He enjoyed gardening, canning tomatoes and taking care of his many cats. He loved being outdoors and panning for gold in the rivers of Ohio and was a member of the G.P.A. A. Gary loved talking and visiting with friends and was always ready to help a friend in need. He was a good man and will be missed by many.
Surviving is his loyal companion of 20 years, Teresa Alloway of Coshocton; a daughter, Sue Hindel Mahon of Dresden; a brother, Ed (Cindy) Hindel of Norwalk; a sister, Sherri (Terry) Hindel Valentine of Norwalk; five grandchildren, Ashly Mahon, Andy Mahon, Daylin Hindel, Joseph Hindel and Tate Hindel; two great grandchildren, Carson Bagley and Ryder Mahon; his former wife, Bonnie Jenkins Hindel of Trinway, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Neil Hindel and Troy Hindel.
There will be no calling hours.
Family memorial services will be held at a later date.
