Gary ?Doug? Bishop, 59 of New Concord died at 6:00 a.m. Saturday July 15, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. Mr. Bishop was born April 21, 1947 in Medina County, a son of James and Evelyn Bishop. He worked at Lear Corporation in Zanesville for 40 years. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Bishop of Medina; his wife Janice Bishop; a son Jerry (Lorena) Bishop of New Concord; a daughter, Renee (Gary) Mizer of Blissfield; grandchildren, Justin Bishop, Dakota Mizer, Macey Mizer, Laney Mizer, Brittany Lautzenheiser and Caitlin Lautzenheiser; brothers, Jimmy Bishop of St. Petersburg, Fla., Donald Bishop of Wadsworth; sisters, Sherry Doller of Medina, and Judy Roach of Adamsville. He was preceded in death by his father James Bishop, and a grandson, Gavin Mizer. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday July 18, 2006 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 8005 East Street, Adamsville, Ohio. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in Baptist Cemetery.
