Garland L. "Gary" Williams, 82, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday morning, March 13, 2023 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born June 8, 1940 in Dresden, Ohio he was a son of the late Bryce H. and Maxine (Gray) Williams and was a 1958 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School.  Gary worked for Martin's Dairy and Gene Cox & Sons before co-founding Williams Excavating and Paving of Trinway, Ohio.  He was a 4-H advisor and member of the Soil Conservation Association, Muskingum County Sheep Committee, and Dresden Jaycee's.  Gary enjoyed golfing and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy L. (James) Williams whom he married June 6, 1959; four sons, Mark (Ellen) Williams, Matt (Heidi) Williams, Mike Williams and Mitch (Amy) Williams; eight grandchildren, Ben Williams, Kelsi Williams, Keaton Williams, Angela Lukander, Adam (Jasmine) Williams, Austin Williams, Dylan Williams and Alex Williams; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Tom (Diane) Williams; sister, Anita (Bob) Rector; sister in-law, Linda (Larry) Miller and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn King and Debbie (Jim) Angelo and a grandson, Robert Spangler.

Friends and family may call from 11am to 1pm, Saturday March 18, 2023 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Homes, 110 W. Third Street.

A celebration of Gary's life will follow calling hours at 1:00pm Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.
