G. Richard (Dick) Graham, 79, life-long resident of Adams Mills died at 5:02 AM Friday May 28, 2004 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital. Mr. Graham was born October 1, 1924 in Adams Mills, a son of the late John K. and Cleta V. (Moore) Graham. He was a 1942 graduate of Jefferson High School, graduated from the College of Wooster and had worked as a teacher at Hopewell High School. He was a farmer and operated Graham Equipment on St. Rt. 16 with his father and later his son John for many years in Adams Mills. In the 1950?s he was a member of the board of education in the Jefferson School District, was past master of Dresden Lodge #103 F.&A.M., past patron of the O.E.S. in Dresden and a former member of the Dresden Lions Club. A private pilot, he founded the Flying Scots Club at the College of Wooster and was a member of the Flying Farmers Club. Mr. Graham was a member and past elder of the Madison Presbyterian Church in Adams Mills. Surviving are his wife Marion E. (St. John) Graham whom he married March 28, 1948; two sons, John R. (Debra) Graham of Adams Mills and Lt. Col. Glenn L. (Alliyson) Graham with USAF in California; one brother, James W. (Shirley) Graham of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; one sister, Lois (Richard J.) Blackhall of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Lauren E. Graham and John K. Graham. Friends may call 2-5 PM Sunday May 30, 2004 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11AM Monday with Rev. Robert Millspaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Adams Mills Cemetery. A Masonic Service will be held at 4:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
