Freida M. Kennedy, 90 of Newark died Saturday November 20, 2010 at the Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 18, 1920 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Theodore and Mildred (Beaver) Hartmann.

Mrs. Kennedy was employed for many years at the Alberâ??s grocery store as a cashier. She was a member of Cox United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post 85, and a lifetime member of Druidâ??s Grove. She was a former member of the Newark Eagles. Freida enjoyed playing cards with friends and family. She was an excellent cook and well known for her pies.

Survivors include her two sons, Jerry and Marsha Kennedy of Heath, Ron and Sue Kennedy of Newark; grandchildren, Steven (Ronda) Kennedy of Heath, Amy (Scott) Brown of Newark, Kelly (Art) Norman of Newark, several great-grandchildren; special friend, Betty Meyer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John R. Kennedy in 1987 and a sister June Jacobs.
