Frederick J. Seibert, 84, of Strasburg, Ohio died Wednesday morning, December 21, 2016 at his home.
Born July 25, 1932 in Newcomerstown, Ohio he was a son of the late Frederick S. and Lucille E. (Porcher) Seibert and was a 1952 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. He proudly served our country for three years in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Newcomerstown. Mr. Seibert retired in 1987 from Peoples Life Insurance Company where he was a salesman. Fred enjoyed automobiles and following his retirement from the insurance business he worked for Gibbs Chevrolet in Uhrichsville, Ohio. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy L. (Tumblin) Seibert, whom he married March 23, 1954; three sons, Richard (Shelly) Seibert of North Carolina, David (Kim) Seibert of West Lafayette, Ohio and Timothy Seibert of Northwood, Ohio; one daughter, Cheryl (John) Parson of Massillon, Ohio; five grandchildren, Shane (Sarah) Seibert, Carime (Matt) Gardner, Kaylee Parson, Tyler Seibert and Alyson Seibert; two great grandchildren, Rosie Parson and Xander Seibert and one sister, Jeannine King of Zanesville, Ohio.
Calling hours will be from NOON to 1pm Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, December 26, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Sheldon Mencer officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
