FRAZEYSBURG ? Fred A. Hunkins, 96, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died at 11:30am Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the home of his daughter, Judy Hunkins, in Newark Ohio. Born February 25, 1910 in Muskingum County, he was the son of the late Edwin J. and Louisa E. (Barcus) Hunkins. He retired as District Superintendent of Production from the Pure Oil Company after 32 years of service. Afterwards he worked for nearly 10 years at Rockwell International in Newark. Mr. Hunkins was a member of the Nashport United Methodist Church. Surviving is four daughters, Ellen Kay (Michael) Nutter of Newark, Evelyn (Fred) Martin of Heath, Judy Hunkins of Newark and Alice (Paul Leroy) Newsom of Frazeysburg; two brothers, Blaine (Donna) Hunkins of Columbus, Ohio and Neil Hunkins of Newark; eight grandchildren, Mike (Debbie) Montgomery of Sunbury, Ohio, Mark Montgomery of Brandenton, Florida, Ryan Martin of Columbus, Lori (Mark) McArtor of Nashport, Kim (Brian) Bridges of Newark, Dr. Eric (Angie) Newsom of Nashport, Tyler (Tiffany) Newsom of Newark and Jennifer (B. J.) Yates of Newark; fourteen great grandchildren, Graham and Jared Montgomery, Dylan Yates, Drake, Drew and Ashton McArtor, Beau and Benjamin Bridges, Jonathan, Michael, Matthew and Andrew Newson, Alyssa and Nathan Newsom; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ida F. (Sensibaugh) Hunkins, whom he married June 24, 1938 and who died February 3, 1995; four brothers and three sisters. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, August 28, 2006 at the funeral home with the Rev. Clarence Dinnen officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
