At his request no services will be held for Frank P. Moore, Jr., 84 of Newark. Mr. Moore died Wednesday January 2, 2008 at the Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 9, 1923 in Basil, Ohio to the late Frank ?Pete? and Mary May (Bader) Moore. Mr. Moore retired in 1987 from Quaker State Oil. He was a 50 year member of the Baltimore Masonic Lodge # 475 F& AM, Newark Post # 1060 V.F. W. and Basil Trinity Reformed Church. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He trained bird dogs, enjoyed hunting small game and playing golf. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia C. (Iddings) Moore; children, Frank P. (Marti) Moore, III, Martha (Marty) Dowling, Betty Jane (BJ) Moore all of Newark; brothers, Richard ?Dick? (Garri) Moore, Wayne (Wanda) Moore all of Lancaster; sisters, Kate George of Lancaster, Bonnie Law of Canal Winchester, Carolyn (David) Hoffman of London, KY.; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Charles Moore and William ?Bill? Moore.
