FRAZEYSBURG – Frank L. Hiles, 79, of Avondale died Thursday morning, March 3, 2011 in the emergency room of Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born January 14, 1932 in Zanesville he was the son of the late Francis M. and Anna (Parsons) Hiles and he was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He also served ten years in the Army National Guard. Mr. Hiles was a retired employee of Greif Brothers Corporation and he served for many years with the South Zanesville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed watching old movies and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Nancy B. (Neff) Hiles whom he married August 27, 1956; a son Rick Hiles (Nancy) of Nashport, Ohio; four daughters, Tami (Don) Moore of Winter Springs, Florida, Sue Engle (Mike) and Connie (Frank) Scurlock, both of South Zanesville and Judy Hiles (Mark) of Newark, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Ronnie Engle, Bo Engle, Elesa Scurlock, Ryan Scurlock, Adam Hiles, Drew Hiles, Marissa Moore and Natalie Moore; several nieces and nephews and his dog, "Duke".
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three half brothers and three half sisters.
There will be no calling hours.
A gathering to celebrate Frank's life will be held at a later date.
