NEWARK ? A funeral service for Frank R. ?Bum? Levingston, 79 of Newark, formerly of Hanover, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 24, 2006 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Kane, officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery. Mr. Levingston died Friday at the Heath Nursing and Convalescent Center. He was born Jun 27, 1926 in Toboso to the late George W. and Alta Mae (Devore) Levingston. Mr. Levingston was a veteran of World War II, in which he served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Holophane for 43 years. He also worked as a part time mail carrier and school bus driver. Mr. Levingston enjoyed hunting, gardening, and playing euchre with his friends. He is survived by two sons, Danny (Terri) Levingston of Newnan, GA.; Richard (Brenda) Levingston of Newark; a daughter, Diana (Gary) Baughman of Newark; grandchildren, Troy and Chad Baughman of Columbus; Rodney Levingston of Newark; Rhonda Dupler of Newark; Teresa (Andy) Sayers of Lewisville, TX.; Lisa (Chris) Fitzgerald of Tampa, FL.; and Cheyenne Levingston of Newark. In addition to his parents, Mr. Levingston was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy E. (Strohacker) Levingston, whom he married July 31, 1948, and who died August 6, 2002. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8PM Monday at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association.
