Francis E. "Mutt" Wagner, 93, of Dresden, Ohio died Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 at his home.
Born January 22, 1923 in Dresden he was a son of the late Everett and Helen (Sensibaugh) Wagner. Mr. Wagner was retired from the construction business and worked all over the state. He was a member of Union Local #18, Operating Engineers and was retired from the Shelly & Sands Company. He was also a member of Dresden American Legion Post #399. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Surviving are three daughters, Peg Lacy of Dresden, Pat Bice of Newark and Pam (Jay) Boal of Dresden; seven grandchildren, Michelle (Darin) Lawler, Scott (Vickie) Lacy, Stephanie (Jason) Jarrett, Steve (Rhiannon) Bice, Stacy (Jon) Richardson, Marty (Jessica) Boal and Michael (Tracy) Boal; sixteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Bill (Ada) Wagner of Frazeysburg and Bob Wagner of Dresden; one sister, Evelyn Somerville of Boca Raton, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Dailey) Wagner whom he married December 31, 1948 and who died July 15, 2000; and two brothers, George Wagner and Everett Eugene Wagner.
There will be no calling hours.
Private graveside funeral services will be conducted by the family at Dresden Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his wife, Rita.
