Francis M. Garver, 78, of Dresden, died at 2:02PM Monday November 17, 2003 at his home following several months illness. Mr. Garver was born December 10, 1924 in Dresden, a son of the late, Harry W. and Edna Mabel (Adolph) Garver and was a life long member of the First Baptist Church in Dresden. He was retired from National Plumbing Pottery. Surviving are his wife, Helen L. (Jones) Garver, whom he married July 3, 1948; a daughter, Edna (Eadie) Garver Nail of Nashville, TN, brothers, Dayle L. (Virginia) Garver and Earl R. (Helen) Garver both of Dresden, granddaughters, Sonja D. (Scott) Smith of Lakeland, FL, Tonya D. (Andy) Fraunfelter of Winterhaven, FL, four great grandchildren, Diamond Paige Garver, Abbie Fraunfelter, Mercedes Lexus Smith and Kyle Douglas Smith. A son, Francis E. Garver, who died May 3, 1995, preceded him in death. Friends may call 6-9PM Wednesday November 19, 2003 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11:30AM Thursday with Rev. Charles E. Gray and Rev. Bert Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
