Obituary

A funeral service for Francis E. ?Frank? Evans, 79 of Heath will be held Saturday August 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of God at God?s Acres with Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Mr. Evans died Monday August 9, 2004 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann?s Hospital. Mr. Evans was born March 2, 1925 in Pedro, Ohio to the late Martin Luther and Alma (Grubb) Evans. Mr. Evans retired from Rockwell International as a foreman in 1987 with 37 years of service. He is a member of Church of God at God?s Acres and UAW Local # 1037. Mr. Evans served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Phyllis K. (Ellis) Evans, whom he married January 17, 1956; children, Jonathan Evans of Heath, Francie (Jason) Beaulieu of East Hartford, Ct., Ned (Tracey) Evans of Lancaster, Felix (Judy) Evans of Junction City, Felicia (Eric) Washek of Lancaster; brother, Alfred M. ?Bob? (Elsie ) Evans of Newark; sisters, Freda Miller of Clark, Rose (Bob) Lewis of Hamilton, Joyce (Bill) Duff of Zanesville; eight grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, a daughter, Rosalyn Evans; two brothers, Martin Evans, Jr., Delbert Evans; two sisters, Belvie Evans, Shirley Elmore and great granddaughter, Georgia Standiford are deceased. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the church, 675 N. Cedar Street, Newark. Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Homes, 1850 West Main Street, Newark is in charge of arrangements.
