ADAMSVILLE - Frances L. ?Toad? Wortman, 82 of Adamsville died Monday September 27, 2004 at 3:30 PM at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Wortman was born November 18, 1921 in Adamsville to the late Millard and Nellie (Wisecarver) Ketchum. She was a member of the Adamsville United Methodist Church and the Marine Corps League Ladies Auxiliary.She is survived by two daughters; Patty (Walt) Harris of Adamsville, and Charlotte L. Wortman, of Zanesville; two daughters in-law, Holly Wortman and Arlene Wortman, both of Adamsville; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Wortman, whom she married September 2, 1939, and who died May 6, 1999; two sons Tommy and Bernard Wortman; a grandson, Forrest Michael Harris; and her brother, Ralph Ketchum. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Thursday September 30, 2004 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday October 1, 2004 at the funeral home, with Pastor Jennifer Czarnota officiating. Burial will follow in Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Genesis, or to a charity of choice; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
