Frances Jane (Newell) Shaw, 75, of Zanesville, died at 7:15PM Tuesday September 1, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Shaw was born October 21, 1933 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George and Artie (Doyle) Newell. She had worked at Essex wire and volunteered at Christ?s Table in Zanesville. Surviving are her children, Jerry Shaw and his wife Lisa of Zanesville, Terry Shaw and his wife Bobbi of Zanesville, Jeanie Witters and her husband Jack of North Carolina; her beloved grandchildren, Richard Shaw, Frances Jane Witters, Billy Jack Witters, Shannan Marie Bissett, Kelly Hill, Rodger Hill, Sheila Hill, Darrik Patterson, Samantha Shaw, Brandon West; great-grandchildren, Joseph Bissett, Michael Bissett, Kenyan Stauton, Andre Hill and Mathew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dickie Lee Shaw on July 8, 1985; a daughter, Aireta Marie Shaw Tinker; grandsons, Ralph Isaac Tinker, III, William Michael Bissett and brothers, George, Leo, Grover and Billy Newell. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday September 4, 2009 at the Dresden Chpael of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held on Saturday morning at 11AM with Rev. Elder Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Church Cemetery near Dresden.All are invited to a time of food and fellowship to be held at Terry and Bobbi's home immediately following the services at the cemetery Saturday.
