Obituary

Floyd M. Bice, 83, of Dresden died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday July 2, 2003 at Genesis Bethesda.Mr. Bice was born May 1, 1920 in Dresden, Ohio to the late John Wesley and Gertrude (King) Bice. Two brothers, Edward Bice and Calvin Bice preceded him in death.Mr. Bice, a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church, was a lifetime farmer, a Tri ?Valley School Bus Driver for 25 years, 4 H advisor for 22 years, Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor for 10 years, Cass Township Trustee 4 years, and a former employee of Dresden Paper Mill.Survivors include his wife of 62 years,Mildred L. (Gill) Bice whom he married June 13, 1941; children, Janet Harris of Columbus, Major General David F. (Char) Bice, USMC (Ret.)of Woodbridge, Va., Shirley (Francis) Steffee of Dresden, Don Bice of Dresden and Sherri L. (Troy) Zeller of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Dorothy King of Dresden; brother, Dwight Bice of Vancouver, Wa.; eleven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 8, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dresden United Methodist Church, 1014 Main Street, with Rev. Ricci R. Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.Calling hours will be observed Monday July 7, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m at the Vensil ? Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden.Memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Jr. Fair Board or the 4H Foundation. (envelopes will be available at the funeral home)
