Florence Hilda Crozier, 81 of Dresden passed away March 10, 2007 at Union Hospital in Dover. Mrs. Crozier was born February 19, 1926 in Birmingham, England to the late James and Florence (Morrison) Greaves. She had worked as a nurse?s aid at Twilight Nursing Home in Dresden. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She had been a member of War Brides Of England. Over the years, she and her late husband raised 36 foster children. Mrs. Crozier enjoyed camping, football, and soap operas. She loved spending time with her 41 grandchildren and her best friend, Colette Untied. Survivors include her daughters, Valerie (Stanley) Mahon of Dresden, Charlotte Crozier of Trinway, Christine Stephenson of Zanesville; a son, Bob (Jamie) Crozier of Dresden; a sister, Winny Thomas of Birmingham, England; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Crozier, January 22, 1995; a brother and a sister. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday March 13, 2007 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Dresden with Fr. Jack Maynard as Celebrant. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
