Flora "Faye" Chapman, 93, formerly of Nashport, Ohio died Sunday evening September 27, 2015 at Pleasant Lake Villa in Parma, Ohio.
Born November 2, 1921 in Childress, Texas she was a daughter of the late Vernon A. and Ora Belle (Jones) Marsden. Mrs. Chapman was a telephone operator during World War II and then later a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and baking.
Surviving is one daughter, Sharon (Jim) Tannehill of Parma Heights, Ohio; three sons, Larry (Louie) Chapman of Brock Texas, Robert (Kimberly) Chapman of Newark, Ohio and James Martin (Belinda) Chapman of Lee Summit, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Brian (Sheri), Rick (Sylvia), Tracy (Josh), Nathan, Natalie, Olivia, Reed and Kate (Bryan); six great grandchildren, Alex, Kyle, Jamison, Averi, Sam and Eliott; one brother, Norman (Becky) Marsden of Lone Camp, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen W. "Chippy" Chapman whom she married July 9, 1943 and who died February 9, 1990; a son Rickey Lee Chapman and five sisters, Juanita Key, Francis Weaver, Betty Clark, Joanne McQueary and Jewel Boone.
Calling hours are from Noon to 2pm Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Carr officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
