Markham, 95, formerly of Newark, will be 11:00am Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Frazeysburg Cemetery with Pastor Bonnie Cameron officiating. Mrs. Markham died Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at the home of her daughter in Punta Gorda, Florida. Born January 3, 1908 in Frazeysburg, she was the daughter of the late Malen and Iva (Lewis) Walcott and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Newark. Mrs. Markham was a retired bookkeeper with the William S. Moore Company of Newark. Surviving is one son, Thomas R. Markham of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Judith K. Ruple of Punta Gorda, Florida; two grandchildren, Charles J. (Randi) Ruple of Long Island, New York and Thomas A. (Melissa) Ruple of Newark; two great grandchildren, Renea Ruple and Megan Sue Ruple; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Markham, whom she married June 9, 1934 and who died July 10, 1989; two sisters, Bernice Deck and Irene Smith; and a brother, Russell Walcott. There will be no calling hours.
