Evelyn J. Schilling, 99 of Newark passed away on Friday May 3, 2024 at the Altercare Newark South. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Evelyn was born March 29, 1925 in Licking County to Charles Frederick and Ethel Fern (Jones) Shoults.

She was an aristocratic lady that enjoyed crocheting. She was a 1943 graduate of Granville High School. She was a dedicated homemaker. She had been employed part-time at Licking Laundry.

She is survived by a much-loved friend, Patricia Miller and her son, Chip; friends Ray & Brenda Smith of Indianapolis.  Special mention to Dawn & Mark McCoy for their loving care.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, John F. Schilling; son, John "Chuck" Schilling and two brothers.
