Private funeral services for Evelyn J. Frenton, 88 of Nashport will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Frenton died Thursday, April 28, 2022 at The Oaks at Bethesda in Zanesville. She was born November 18, 1933 in Guernsey, OH to Wilbur J. and Mabel G. (Colvin) Cramlett.

She was bookkeeper and co-owner with her husband Neale of Newark Drywall, Inc. Later two sons joined into ownership of Newark Drywall, Inc. Mrs. Frenton was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School and had been employed as an operator at Cambridge Telephone Company. She enjoyed traveling especially cruises and visiting casinos. Outdoor activities and flower gardening were favorite pastimes. She was devoted to her family, was looking forward to planned road trips and being on the beach with her sons and their families.

Survivors include her children, Rick (Teresa) Frenton, Jeff (Lorretta) Frenton, Mike (Terri) Frenton all of Newark, Greg (Kim) Frenton of Ormond Beach, FL; fourteen grandchildren, Kari (Bradley) Feightner, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Collins, Kasi (Shaun) Hutchinson, Krista (Allan) Myers, Amy (Tony) Wheledon, Travis (Donna) Frenton, Troy (Heather) Frenton, Ryan (Chandra) Frenton, Bradley (Stacey) Frenton, Brandi (Matt) Smith, Sara Scott, Alex  (Kate) Klink, Kirsti Frenton, Max Klink; eighteen great-grandchildren, Madison, Tyler, Brandon (Callie), Austin, Ricky, Kevin, Easton, Connor, Leyton, Kellen, Kaeleigh, Allie, Breanna (Owen), Lexi, Kaden, Ava, Hattie, Hazel; two great-great-grandsons, Carter, Beckham; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Neale R. Frenton, who died on May 19, 2005; sister, Doris Carpenter; brother, Vernon (Pat) Cramlett.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks at Bethesda, especially Ashley for their loving care.
