DRESDEN ? Esther M. Romine, 86, of Dresden, Ohio died at 3:35pm Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born November 23, 1919 in Coshocton County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Gladys (Graves) Dickerson. She lived most of her life in Dresden and was a homemaker. Mrs. Romine was a charter member of the Dresden Church of the Nazarene where she held many offices of service over the years. Surviving is her husband, Ralph W. Romine, whom she married October 1, 1938; one daughter, Irene (Karl) Schweitzer of West Lafayette, Ohio; three sons, Jim (Lois) Romine of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Mark (Deona) Romine of Coshocton and Donnie (Kim) Romine of Dresden; ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Fred E. Romine, an infant sister, Sarah Dickerson and her sisters and brothers in-law, Hazel and John Cullins and Mildred and Howard Summers and her step-father, Al Skelly. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, February 3, 2005 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden. Funeral services will be 10:30am Saturday, February 4, 2006 at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
