Obituary

Ervin Hinkle, Jr., 62, of Zanesville, died Saturday afternoon October 4, 2025, at Willow Haven Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Zanesville.

Born February 11, 1963, he was a son of the late Melissa F. (Inman) and Ervin Hinkle, Sr. and a 1981 graduate of Sheridan High School. Ervin worked as a tool dresser for James R. Moran Drilling LLC and as a mechanic for Midas Auto Service Experts. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. Ervin enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing.

Surviving is a daughter, Jessica Spellman of Frazeysburg; live in girlfriend and caregiver, Cris West; two sisters, Debbie Woods of Florida and Sandy (Randy) Bollinger of Frazeysburg; three brothers, Jack Hinkle of Massachusetts, Murvin (Jodi) Hinkle of Iowa and Mick (Kendra) Hinkle of Tennessee and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Clark Kirkbride.

The family would like to say thank you to Central Ohio Hospice for all the great care Ervin received over the years and special thanks to his friend and nurse, Anna.

There will be no public services at this time.
