Elsie G. Wilson, 77, of Frazeysburg, Ohio went to heaven Saturday morning, April 7, 2018 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Born May 20, 1940 in Frazeysburg she was a daughter of the late James Robert and Lilly May (Whyde) McFarland. She was a Christian who knew her Lord and her Lord knew her. Elsie was a homemaker and was retired from the QA department of the Longaberger Company where she worked for twelve years. She was a very giving person and loved to help her children and grandchildren and she loved family gatherings at her home. She enjoyed going out to eat and taking car rides with her best friend Nancy Hoover of Frazeysburg. She also enjoyed watching QVC and cooking shows on TV.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa (Tom Patterson) Wilson of Gahanna, Ohio and Sandi (Scott) Demeter of Heath, Ohio; three sons, Rick (Donna) Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Kevin (Mary Cooper) and Tim (Debbie) Wilson, both of Frazeysburg; six grandchildren, Daryl Wilson, Alison Wilson, John Earl Wilson, Rick Lee Wilson, Jr., Tyler Wilson and Kristina Wilson and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Doris McLaughlin of Dayton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Martha Bush Lore of Newark, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Donald R. Wilson; a son Dale R. Wilson and two granddaughters, Jessica Wilson and Janelle Davis; two brothers and seven sisters.
Calling hours will be 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the funeral home with her nephew, Rev. Roger Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
