Elsie L. (Snider) Garrett, 71, of Dresden, died unexpectedly at 6:20AM Wednesday Janaury 30, 2008 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Garrett was born March 4, 1936 near Wills Creek, a daughter of the late P.G. & Ella M. Noland. She had been a member of the Moose in Marion and Delaware and currently in Zanesville, the Eagles and the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are her children, Jerry Snider of Columbus, Regina Snider of Dresden, Mark Snider of Coshocton, Monica (Rick) Dreher of Dresden; grandchildren, Joe Wesley Snider, Shane Powell, Sheena Powell, Jessica Leora Snider, Jerry Lynn Snider; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Maxine Lockhart of Mt. Vernon, Harley (Barb) Noland of Frazeysburg, Roy (Sandy) Noland of Dresden, Ronald (Martha) Noland of Dresden, John (Flo) Noland of Dresden, Judy Kay Wagner of Zanesville, Michael Noland of Conesville, Emma Poulson of Grove City, Donna Foley of Newark, Donald (Charlene) Noland of Hopewell, sisters in law, Orpha Noland and Saundra Noland and many nieces and nephews and her former husband, Paul V. Snider of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Marie Snider and brothers, Roger, Ricky, Ralph and Vernon (Skip) Noland. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday February 1, 2008 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1PM at the First Baptist Church in Dresden. Cremation will follow the services.
