A memorial service for Elmer ?Cecil? Rust, 79 of Newark will be held Saturday April 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. James Reed officiating.Mr. Rust passed peacefully Wednesday April 12, 2006 at the Heath Nursing Care Center. He was born August 4, 1926 in Harmony Twp., Morrow Co., Ohio to the late Robert L. and Mary (Samples) Rust.He was the owner of the E.C. Rust Tax Service for many years. He was a great fan of the motion picture screen. He had been employed as a projectionist and was a member of IATSE Projectionist Union. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Newark # 387, a member of American Legion Post # 85, a member of Cherry Valley Life Center. He was a 1944 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.Survivors include his sons, Chris (Lisa) Rust of Heath, Eugene (Sue) Dunaway of Arizona, Michael Dunaway of Michigan; daughters, Gloria Jean (Jim) Lusk of Thornville, Leslie (Steve) Hoskinson of Newark; brothers, Eugene (Betty) Rust of Twinsburg, Ohio, Robert (Shirley) Rust, Jr. of Johnson City, TN, Keith (Joanne) Rust of Holly Hill, FL; twenty grandchildren; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.Calling hours will be observed Saturday April 22, 2006 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.The family request contributions to the E.C.
