Elmer A. Harding, of Zanesville, died unexpectedly Monday July 12, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Harding was born February 6, 1932 in Zanesville, a son of the late William and Jeanette (Deavers) Grubb. He had served in the Ohio Army National Guard and worked at National Plumbing in Zanesville and Rogate Industries in Mansfield. Mr. Harding enjoyed his farm and home and maintained bee colonies and had been a member of the Muskingum County Bee Keeperâ??s Association.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie (David) Colledge of Mansfield, Walter (Darla) Harding of Zanesville, Robert (Teresa) Harding of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Steven Harding, Diana (Travis) Wise, Sabrina Whitney, Leanne Myrick; great grandchildren, Shana and Tara Whitney; several nieces and nephews and two beloved Siamese cats, Chloe and Icie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha M. â??Bertâ? Harding, whom he married October 12, 1952, on August 11, 2009.
A memorial service will be held on Friday July 16, 2010 at 2PM at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr &Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Kinley officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prospect Church Cemetery at a later date.
