FRAZEYSBURG ? Ellen S. Underwood, 66, of Newark, Ohio died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Rockford, Illinois. Born February 25, 1941 in Frazeysburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Damian and Florence (Neal) Wise and was a 1959 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mrs. Underwood was a homemaker and a member of the West Main Street Church of Christ of Newark. Surviving is two daughters, Tami (Dan) Peters of Rockford, Illinois and Jessica (Eric) Kennedy of Hillsboro, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jeremiah, Paul Abraham and Samuel Peters and Erin Kennedy; three brothers, Ronald (Barbara) Wise of Austin, Texas, Larry (Marty) Wise and Ed (Donna) Wise, both of Frazeysburg; two sisters, Bonnie (Dyson) Massengill of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Becky (Mark) Moody of Dresden; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Underwood, who died June 9, 1988 and a brother, David Wise who died October 24, 2001. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, December 21, 2007 at the funeral home with her son in-law, Minister Dan Peters officiating. Burial will be in Irville Cemetery, Nashport, Ohio.
