A funeral service for Kay Rutter, 58 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Sjostrand, officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster. Kay died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Newark Health Care Centre. She was born February 18, 1950 to Charles and Madalene Powell. She graduated from Lancaster High School. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and she enjoyed bowling and bingo. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ralph R. Rutter, whom she married November 25, 1972. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Rutter. Friends may visit from noon until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
