Obituary

Elizabeth G. Apple, 72, of 35 Dave Longaberger Ave., Dresden, died at 7:25AM Tuesday May 27, 2003 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Apple was born November 14, 1930 in New Lexington, a daughter of the late James and Rhoda Anderson. Following retirement from the Coshocton County Career Center, she was employed at the Bonnie Longaberger Senior Center in Dresden. Mrs. Apple was a member of the Central Christian Church in Coshocton. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Apple, whom she married Oct. 1, 1950; children, Robert A. (Christina M.) Apple of Johnstown; Cindy (Ron) Bradford of Dresden, Michelle Goodrich of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Stephanie (Dave) Eldridge, Lucas Apple, Robert Ryan Bradford, Benjamin Apple, Hope Goodrich, a great granddaughter, Geneva Eldridge; a brother, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) James L. (Joyce) Anderson of Chapel Hill, NC, a sister, Edna (Paul) McGrady of Florida; several nieces and nephews, including Rhoda (Tim) Kohler of Coshocton and their children, Eric, Aron and Adam Kohler. Two sons, three brothers, and a one sister preceded her in death. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday May 29, 2003 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden, where services will be held at 1PM Friday with Pastors Phillip Hunt and Brad Beyer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bonnie Longaberger Senior Center or Genesis Hospice; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family extends an open invitation to a fellowship dinner following the service Friday at the Bonnie Longaberger Senior Center on south Main Street in Dresden.
