Eleanor Stump Ward, 90, of Dresden, died Thursday evening, October 17, 2002 at the home of her nephew, Jan Schneider. Mrs. Ward was born April 7, 1912 in Madison Township, on the family farm and in the house in which she passed away. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dresden. Surviving are nephews, Dr. Jay Chaney of Wyoming, Geoffrey Chaney of N. Carolina, Jan Schneider, of Dresden, Dr. Dan Stump of Wooster; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Lillian (Dunn) Stump; her husband, Phillip A. Ward, whom she married November 2, 1933 on November 2, 1991; one son, LeMarck Ward; brother, Donald Stump; and two sisters, Kathleen Schneider and Marjorie Chaney. Friends may call 7PM-9PM Monday October 21, 2002 at the Vensil&Orr Funeral Home in Dresden, where services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday with Dr. John J. Arnold officiating.
