Obituary

Mrs. Criss was called home by Father on July 25,2005. She was born on June 29,1909 to William Hoadley Rahn and Caroline Fullbright on the farm at Newcastle Township, Walhonding, Coshocton County, Ohio. A brother, George Hilton and a brother, William Amandus and a sister, Mary Rebecca preceded her in death. She was married to Hubert William Fry until his death on September 21,1938. On September 22,1943, she married Raymond Orange Criss, who died March 29,1975. She is survived by a son: William Richard Frye, living in Gig Harbor, Washington, 2 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Her talent and love of music brought joy to those around her. She taught piano for many years, and later in life, after graduating from Ohio State, taught in the Newark School system. She was very active in church work, playing the piano and organ, and leading the choir in different churches before becoming a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. She was called on a mission to the temple of Our Lord and served for 15 years. A Memorial Service will be held August 5,2005 at 2:00 PM at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, located at 2486 Newark-Granville Road, Newark, Ohio. Viewing will be at 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
