Funeral services for Edwin John S. Weeks, 69 of Hanover will be held Thursday July 10, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vensil ? Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark with Rev. Bill Wayt officiating. Burial will follow in Hanover Cemetery. Mr. Weeks died Monday July 7, 2003 at the Flint Ridge Nursing & Convalescent Center. He was born August 3, 1933 in Little Current, Ontario, Canada to the late Rev. Edwin & Jane (Syrett) Weeks. Mr. Weeks owned and operated Weeks TV in Hanover from 1970 to 1999. He attended Hanover United Methodist Church and was a member of the Anglican Church of Canada.Mr. Weeks was an avid bicylist and enjoyed fishing.Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Esther (Flowers) Weeks of Hanover, whom he married January 26, 1969; two sons, Andrew (Emily) Weeks of Dresden, Robert Kelly of Hanover; four daughters, Rose (Bart) Wynn of Tupelo, Miss., Penny (Michael) Mencsik of Troy, Ohio, Marla (Kenneth) Howes of Tucson, Ariz., Robin (Mark) Butler of Newark; twin sister, Marjorie Jane (Orval) McNabb of Southampton, Ontario; Twelve grandchildren; two great granddaughters; several cousins, nieces and nephews.Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Christian Weeks.Calling hours will be observed Wednesday July 9, 2003 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vensil ?
