A funeral service for Edward "Eddie" Williamson, Jr. will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home | Newark with Dave Mason officiating.

Mr. Williamson passed peacefully Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born April 7, 1944 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Edward Williamson, Sr. and Leota (Burns) Williamson. Mr. Williamson retired from Arvin-Meritor.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Janice; a daughter, Amy Ramsey (Steve Jenkins) of Heath; grandchildren, Emily Manning, Jordan Ensey, Brittney Smith, Dallas Ramsey, Kiley Jenkins and Chloe Jenkins; great grandchildren, Bentley, Hudson, Oliver, Sawyer, Braylen, Mallory, Braxton, Raegynn and Emma; a brother Ralph Robertson; and sisters, Mildred Bowling and Kaye Chadwell.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Harville; a brother, Doug Robertson and Jerome Robertson; and a sister, Harriett Fallen.

Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
