FRAZEYSBURG â?? Edward C. Parrill, 88, of Nashport, Ohio died Friday morning, September 24, 2010 at his home.
Born November 23, 1921 in Muskingum County near Stringtown, he was the son of the late Albert J. Parrill, Sr. and Fayetta (Hitchcock) Parrill and was an Army veteran having served during World War II in the European theatre. Mr. Parrill retired in 1984 from the Muskingum County Highway Department with 25 years of service. He was a member of Hanover Post #764 American Legion; VFW Post # 4002 of Longview, Texas and the NRA.
Surviving are four sons, Jack Parrill of Tampa, Florida, Joe (Donna) Parrill of Tampa, Michael (Debbie) Parrill of New Albany, Ohio and Jesse (Pam) Parrill of Frazeysburg, Ohio; four daughters, Pamela (Donald) Mox of Nashport, Roxanne Levingston of Newark, Ohio, Luellen (John) Deeds of Newark and Betsy (Kenneth) McPherson of Nashport; a brother, Albert J. (Nellie) Parrill of Nashport; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Ralph V. S. Parrill; three grandsons, Donald Mox, Dominic Mox and Charles Richard Parrill; two sisters, Margaret Weiland and Bonnie Jean Miller and two sons in-law, Joseph Felumlee and Larry Levingston and his former wife Zella A. Renner.
The Parrill family would like to give a special thank you to their fatherâ??s nurses, Misti Staggrs, Sheila Nixon and Cindy Simons, who were so very helpful during his final illness.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday, September 27, 2010 at the funeral home with the Rev. Charlsie Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
