Edward Everett "Ebb" Wolfe, 86, of Frazeysburg, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, July 23, 2015 at his home.
Born May 18, 1929 in Muskingum County, he was a son of the late Hazel (Moran) Wolfe and he was a combat engineer with the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Wolfe was a self-employed oil and gas well driller and was retired from R. & J. Drilling where he was a tool pusher. He was a former coach and sponsor of M. & B. Drilling softball team and he loved all sports, especially NASCAR, Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indian and Cleveland Browns. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon K. (Mike Snider) Wolfe of Frazeysburg; two sons, Ronald (Denise) Wolfe and David A. Wolfe, both of Fallsburg, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Delores E. (Kerns) Wolfe, who died May 9, 2004; three sons, Donald E. Wolfe, Samuel F. Hale and James P. Hale and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Toby Hale.
Calling hours will be 2pm to 5pm Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, July 27, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
