Edna B. Welsch, 73, of Trinway, Ohio died Friday afternoon, December 21, 2012 at Genesis Morrison House, in Zanesville after a brief illness.
Born November 20, 1939 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late Gleason and Marjorie (Maneely) Lacy and was a 1957 graduate Dresden Jefferson High School. Mrs. Welsch retired in 2008 from Tri-Valley Schools where she had been a cook for 19 years. She was a member of the Trinway United Methodist Church, Olive Branch Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star at Duncan Falls and a lifetime member of the NRA. She enjoyed helping others and loved to do catering for parties.
Surviving is one son, Richard W. Welsch and a daughter, Dian Welsch both of Trinway. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Kayla and Kristin Welsch; two brothers, Bill Stotts of Trinway and Stephen (Linda) Lacy of Dresden; a niece Mandy Lacy and three nephews Jason, Wes and Jeff Stotts and a special life-long friend, Martha Prince of Trinway.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Welsch whom she married July 29, 1962 and who died March 18, 1987.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the funeral home will the Rev. Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
