A funeral service for Edna M. Mercer, 55 of Warner Robins, Georgia will be held Friday April 29, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hanover Presbyterian Church 732 N. Main Street NE with Rev. Alexander McDougall officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery at a later date.Mrs. Mercer died Monday April 25, 2005 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born November 15, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Ralph Felumlee, Sr. and Mary C. (Johnson) Felumlee of Marne.Mrs. Mercer was employed as a personnel officer at Warner Robins Air Force Base. She had also been stationed at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and Newark Air Force Base. In 1999 she started the Kairos Outside of San Antonio program and was a member of the Hanover American Legion Auxiliary. She was a 1967 graduate of Licking Valley High School and received an Associate Degree from COTC.In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughter, Michelle L. (Cory) Hanger of Heath; son, Larry L. Mercer, Jr. of Newark; sisters, Peggy Garman of Newark, Pat Felumlee of Columbus, Fran (Gene) Keyes of Marne, brother, Ralph (Debi) Felumlee, Jr. of Hanover, sister-in-law LuEllen Felumlee of Hanover; the joy of her life, granddaughter, Michaela Hanger; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.In addition to her father, one brother, Joe Felumlee preceded her in death.Calling hours will be observed Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street Newark and Friday one hour prior to services at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to the Kairos Outside San Antonio, C/o Rachel Alderman 103 Wagon Trail Road, San Antonio, Texas 78231 or the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, The James Development Office, 300 W. 10th Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43210.
