FRAZEYSBURG – Edith N. Moran, 91, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday morning, March 5, 2011 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born October 20, 1919 in Jackson Township of Muskingum County she was a daughter of the late Millard and Jenny (Huffman) Acord and was a homemaker. Mrs. Moran enjoyed Bingo and playing cards with her friends.
Surviving are five sons, Linton (Sally) Moran, of Frazeysburg, Gerald (Judy) Moran of Warsaw, Ohio, Ronald (Linda) Moran of Frazeysburg, Leroy Moran of Frazeysburg and Allen (Chris) Moran of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Wilda (Walt) Sarchet of Frazeysburg and Brenda (Steven) Dobson of Newark; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one step grandchild, three step great grandchildren; four step great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her very special friends, Freda Kilpatrick, Dorothy Moran and Duke Smith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Moran whom she married January 10, 1939 and who died November 21, 1990; a daughter in-law, Barbara Moran; three brothers, Samuel, Michael and Walter Acord and four sisters, Gertrude Acord, Nellie Edwards, Edna Rector and Juanita Evans.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
